Episode 10 - Something Nice Back Home

Well, I don’t know what the rules were before, but apparently, they did not include murder. And apparently, all bets are off on that account.

For anyone who was still wondering who the bad guys are, some of them certainly became a little more obvious tonight, while the moral code of other folks is still very much a gray area.

Though I was never a huge fan of Alex (or her boyfriend or crazy mother), I thought her cruel, meaningless death was made even more heart-breaking by the fact that the last words she heard were those of the man she knew as her father completely disavowing her.

Kate and Juliet must learn to work together when Jack’s health is seriously compromised. Something goes wrong as Sawyer, Claire, Aaron and Miles continue their trek away from Locke’s camp and back to the beach.

Episode 9 - The Shape of Things to Come

Alex is shoved down on her knees. A hand reaches in and yanks her blindfold off. Alex finds herself staring at the sonic fence surrounding the barracks. A voice orders her to turn it off and shoves a gun into Alex’s neck. Alex enters a code, and they continue forward.

Hurley, Sawyer and Locke enjoy a game of Risk when the telephone rings. It’s such an odd, out of place sound. Locke answers it and hears an even odder message: code fourteen-J. He goes to Ben and asks what the code means. Ben immediately is activated. He explains they have to get back to his house. It’ll be easier to fortify and offers a better position on the tree lines. Locke doesn’t understand, and Ben tells him they’re here.

Episode 8 - Kevin Johnson

Locke holds a group meeting in his house and promises there will be no more secrets. He brought Miles with him, and Miles tells the group that he was hired for one reason: find Benjamin Linus.

This is not a surprise to anyone. Sawyer wants to simply turn Ben over to them, but Ben informs them that once they have him, their orders are to kill everyone on the island. The seriousness of that sinks in. Ben says he knows this because his spy on the ship is Michael. Hurley and Sawyer are upset. The guy who killed two women in cold blood to set Ben free, then sold all of them out so he could get off the island? Yes, that Michael.

Episode 7 - Ji Yeon

On the freighter, Keamy checks in with Lapidus and asks if he’s ready. Lapidus says he’ll be ready. Keamy warns him not to be late. Lapidus continues below where he runs into Regina, who is standing guard outside sick bay, where Sayid and Desmond are.

Regina is acting strange, and Lapidus notices the book she’s reading is upside down. Lapidus brings Sayid and Desmond food cans of lima beans. Sayid asks if Lapidus has had contact with their friends, and Lapidus says no, something must have happened to their phone.

Episode 6 - The Other Woman

Juliet gets a surprising visit from someone from her past. She is given orders to stop Charlotte and Faraday from doing what they have set out to do. Back at the Barracks, Ben offers Locke an enticing deal.

Episode 5 - The Constant

As Sayid, Desmond and Frank head towards the freighter, they experience some major turbulence.

Is Desmond able to time travel? If you remember that bizarre season three episode, Desmond time traveled back to Penny. Apparently, in this episode Desmond’s ability will take him back to a place where Daniel Faraday is a Physics professor.

Desmond’s time traveling adventures takes him in and out of time, but rumor has it that Daniel Faraday is a constant figure in his travels. Seeing as how Daniel is a physicist, I’d lay odds that he knows a thing or two about time travel.

Minkowski, the voice we keep hearing on that phone will finally materialize in this episode in the form of Fisher Stevens.

Episode 4 - Eggtown

Kate goes to Sawyer for help with getting Miles a minute alone with Ben.

When Miles meets up with Ben, he blackmails Ben for $3.2 million! In exchange, Miles agreed to tell his employers that Ben is dead.

After Locke catches Kate and Miles with Ben, he questions Kate about what the two had discussed and then tells her she isn’t welcome there anymore.

In Kate’s flash forwards, she stands trial for the murder of her stepfather. Jack testifies on her behalf and reveals that there were 8 who survived the crash, but only 6 lived.

Kate is offered a deal to not serve any jail time, but she must stay in California for 10 years - a deal she happily agrees to!

When Kate returns home, she goes to see her “son,” who turns out to be Aaron!

Back on the island, Jack learns that Sayid, Desmond and Frank didn’t make it to the freighter.
